Akina Nakamori Fushigi Rarest
Mastodon - Emperor of Sand from Reprise Records _____________________ Hands down the best concept record of the year. And, to be honest, I listened to quite a few of them this year.
Link to the live album on DGM.com if you want to find more rare King Crimson bootlegs, outtakes and info on the band. 不思議(or Fushigi) is Akina Nakamori's ninth concept album released on August 11, 1986. This album featured distorted vocals on every track which many of her fans thought to be a.
While the tone of the album is mortality, I connected with the record in the opposite because of the birth of Oliver. It's own of two albums that came out this year that did that to me. And for that, I thank you Mastodon. There were only 2 songs on this entire record that I didn't love, so check it all out. Best to listen to it in order so you get the story. FAITH NO MORE 'The Real Thing' (Slash/Reprise, 1989)...
I was 1000% on the train when 'Epic' dropped. As was the rest of the world, if I remember correctly! Download Film Mahabharata Bahasa Indonesia Full Episode. This was one of the tapes I was rocking constantly in the early '90s.
Install Delphi Packages here. Probably their quintessential album, straddling the line between their early and a more experimental edge that would be fully embraced on 'Angel Dust.' I think it would be a pretty much perfect album if not for the last few tracks, which feel superfluous – especially that completely unchanged Black Sabbath cover. Still a killer.... Pressing: 1st US... 'Randy Newman/Live.'
Is this a weird album cover? For a conventional album, one that is not trying to be different, necessarily, it seems a bit strange. If you open it the usual way, with the album sliding out on the right side, then you have a front cover that lists in big text size all the songs. You get to see right away how short song is in length too. I would not think of this as a good marketing strategy. On the other hand (the left one, of course), if you open it with the album sliding out on the left side, with the song listing on the back, which is what you would expect to see in most cases, then you see the full screen - haha, full cover - picture of Mr. So which is it?
How many other albums do you know of where the album slides out from the left side of the cover? I'm discounting albums with gatefolds and more recent ones where you know the artist is trying to be hip by doing so. This just seems like it was a weird decision made by the label.
